II. Regulations ¡V General

-Silence should be strictly observed in the library to maintain a quiet study atmosphere
-No food or drink is allowed in the library
-Students must leave their bags in the cupboard inside the library before entering
-The library is not responsible for the safe keeping of any belongs left in the library
-Games of any forms are not allowed in the library
-Mutilation and theft of library materials are serious offences. Offenders will be penalized and payment must be made to cover all damages
-Copyright law should be strictly observed by all library users when making copies of library materials. Notices are posted in the library to warn users that they will be held fully responsible for any copyright infringement


III. Regulations - Computer Service

-No computer games are allowed in the library, including but not limited to MSN, online and web-based game
-Booking or registration should be made at the counter before using the computers
-No more than two students are allowed to share one computer
-Each student can only book a computer once a week
-Under no circumstances should any programs be downloaded
-Students who accidentally enter inappropriate sites (e.g. sex, hate) must immediately exit that site
-Students who intentionally enter inappropriate sites will lose their internet privileges
-Material copied from the internet must be given appropriate recognition (no plagiarism)


IV. Regulations - Borrowing

-Students must present their student identity card when checking out books
-The number of materials which can be borrowed are 7 items
-Lending library materials may be borrowed for a period of 14 days, it may be renewed by the same borrower for a further period of 14 days unless it is required by another borrower
-A charge will be made for overdue materials at the rate of HK$1 a day
-A student shall not lend or transfer his/ her student identity card allowed for library purposes to any other person
-A charge will be made for any library material lost or damaged, which will be the book cost. In addition, a surcharge of 20% of such sum shall be payable.
-Student must return books to the Library before the end of the school year or the date announced by the Teacher Librarian.
